Executive Director IBA Leads MoU Signing with IMT Atlantique, France to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

January 28, 2026: IBA Karachi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IMT Atlantique, France, marking an important step toward expanding academic and scientific collaboration. The partnership aims to foster global academic exposure, advance knowledge, and promote meaningful cooperation in education and research through faculty and student exchanges, and joint research activities.

The MoU was signed between Executive Director IBA, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, in the presence of Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Khoja, Dean & Professor; Dr. Shahid Hussain, Professor & Chairperson, Department of Computer Science; and Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Khan, Professor, Department of Computer Science. Whereas, IMT Atlantique was represented by Mr. Christophe Lerouge, President, IMT Atlantique.

IMT Atlantique is recognized among the top 10 engineering institutions in France and is ranked within the top 100 globally for Computer Science (QS Rankings). The agreement aims to foster collaboration in education and research, with a particular focus on Computer Science and related disciplines.

The partnership will facilitate joint research initiatives, promote faculty and student exchange programs, support participation in academic conferences and short courses, and enable joint supervision of master’s and doctoral research.

This MoU reflects IBA Karachi’s continued efforts to expand its global academic partnerships and reinforces its commitment to excellence in Computer Science education, research innovation, and international academic engagement.
