IBA Alumni Reconnect at CS Bhaitak 2025 for a Night of Reflection and Networking

January 17, 2025: IBA-SMCS hosted the highly anticipated  CS Bhaitak 2025 at the Main Campus. The event began with a warm welcome from Executive Director IBA, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi and a heartfelt address by Dean IBA-SMCS, Dr. Shakeel A. Khoja, who expressed his delight in reconnecting with alumni. Reflecting on IBA's future, Dr. Zaidi shared, "IBA has always been recognized for delivering high-quality business education, and moving forward, we aim to be recognized as leaders in computer science and related fields."

Dr. Khoja further emphasized SMCS's commitment to alumni engagement, stating, "We are dedicated to creating opportunities for our alumni to give back to their alma mater, whether through FYP mentorships, project collaborations, or other initiatives."

Director, Alumni Affairs, Resource Mobilization & Corporate Affairs, Ms. Malahat Awan, and Alumni Representative on IBA's Board of Governors, Mr. Mohammed Sohail, highlighted the invaluable role of alumni, stating, "IBA's strength lies in the remarkable achievements of our alumni, and their continued success exemplifies the institution's impact on their lives."

Distinguished alumni, including Data & MLOps Engineer at AstraZeneca, Mr. Omar Farooq Ahmed, and Co-founder of EfroTech, Mr. Nadir Khan Feroz shared inspiring success stories, encouraging younger alumni to stay focused, goal-oriented, and committed to continuous skill development.

The event, attended by over 200 alumni and faculty, brought together graduates from IBA's BS(CS), MS(CS), MS(DS), PhD(CS), and MBA(MIS) programs, spanning batches from 1996 to 2024. It was a vibrant evening filled with celebration, music, and networking, fostering meaningful personal and professional connections.
