IBA Karachi organized the Applied Topology Symposium 2026

June 09, 2026: The Department of Mathematical Sciences at SMCS, IBA Karachi organized the Applied Topology Symposium 2026 which brought together students, researchers, and academics to explore the growing role of topology in modern mathematics and data-driven sciences. The one-day symposium featured invited talks on Persistent Homology, Discrete Homology and Topological Data Analysis (TDA), highlighting real-world applications. The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and collaboration, while showcasing how topological methods are increasingly being used to understand complex structures and datasets across diverse disciplines.
