IBA Karachi (SMCS) has recently signed an MoU with Coventry University

The School of Mathematics and Computer Science (SMCS) of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) has recently signed an MoU with Coventry University. Under this MoU, selected MS Computer Science and MS Data Science students enrolled in MS Thesis will be provided with a fully funded research opportunity to travel to England and execute a part of their thesis at Coventry.

At IBA, the MS Thesis is executed in two parts (over two semesters): Thesis I and Thesis II. Research supervisors at IBA and Coventry will initially decide on a thesis topic. The selected students will execute Thesis I at IBA, understanding the problem, doing the literature review and identifying research gaps along with a novel problem-solving methodology. Then, the students will travel to Coventry to further strengthen and implement this idea. The stay at Coventry is for four months and includes accommodation and a weekly stipend of £150 to assist with living expenses. Later, the solutions designed in the thesis will be pitched to industries for potential applications.
