August 7, 2025: The MS Computer Science Poster Presentation at IBA Karachi provided a platform for graduate students of School of Mathematics and Computer Science (SMCS) to present their innovative solutions to current technology demands.
The event brought together academia and industry, fostering an environment where ideas could be tested, refined, and aligned with current market needs. Faculty members, the Dean, and the Chairperson of SMCS were also present to support the students’ effort.
The showcased projects represent a diverse range of innovative solutions developed by students under faculty supervision. Muhammad Nabeel Sheikh mentored by Ms. Tasbiha Fatima worked on Enhancing Active Directory Security through Attack Simulation and Mitigation. Maryam Khan, mentored by Mr. Saiyed Shahab, developed a No-Code AI Dashboard for E-Commerce, enabling seamless analytics without coding expertise. Fatima Jamal mentored by Professor Khawaja Abdul Hafeez introduced Payflex: The Future of Digital Payments, while Shahwar Muazzam created an Automated End-to-End Newsletter Generator for Streaming Content. Ayesha Noor Khan designed an Automated News Summarization System using LLMs. Maddlaj Khan mentored by Dr. Imran Khan explored Digital Twins in Industry 4.0.
To evaluate these projects, a distinguished panel comprising Mr. Muzzamil Hussain, Assistant Vice President & Section Head - Digital Information Assurance, National Bank of Pakistan; Muhammad Maaz Khan, Assistant Vice President AI & Data Science, Systems Limited; Asna Ishrat, Senior Software Architect, TPS Worldwide; and Sohaib ur Rehman, Senior Manager SecDevOps & Performance, TPS Worldwide, assessed each project’s technical excellence, relevance, and innovation potential. They also provided valuable feedback to help refine and enhance the students’ research outcomes.
