Parvaaz Mentorship Program 2026 - Building Global Connections and Future Leaders

February 16, 2026: The School of Mathematics and Computer Science (SMCS), IBA Karachi, in collaboration with the Career Development Center and the Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, continues to strengthen global engagement through the Parvaaz Mentorship Program, Batch 2026.

This year, the program onboarded 30 international mentors from Germany, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Ireland, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and beyond, along with 10 national mentors, creating a truly global mentorship network for students. During the session, the international mentors introduced themselves and shared their professional backgrounds and areas of expertise. The mentorship cycle will continue until May 2026, providing meaningful guidance and real-world exposure beyond the classroom.

The session commenced with opening remarks by Shahid Hussain, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science. This was followed by an engaging panel discussion, From Boardroom to Breakthrough: Leadership in Technology, moderated by Dr. Shakeel Khoja (Dean, School of Mathematics & Computer Science, IBA Karachi) and Jawwad Farid (Professor of Practice, IBA Karachi).

The panel featured distinguished industry leaders including Najeeb Agrawalla (CEO, 1LINK Pvt. Limited), Kashif Jadoon (CEO, Bluetech Consulting), Sarah Siddiqui (Director, Corporate Sales & Solutions Markets, Citi Bank), Ansar Muhammad (Vice President, Engineering, 10Pearls), Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram (Co-Founder & CEO, Sehat Kahani), Salman Jafri (Chief Dealer – Head Asset & Liability Management, Treasury & Global Markets, HBL), Rabia Wafah (Chief Financial Officer, Engro Polymers & Chemicals Ltd.), and M. Mohtashim Jangda (Director – MENA & USA, TMC). The discussion explored innovation, career growth, leadership, and the evolving role of technology professionals in industry.

Parvaaz reflects SMCS’s commitment to bridging academia and industry, preparing students not only for careers but also for leadership and long-term professional growth.
