SMCS and Drox Labs organize seminar and workshop on 'Breaking into Web3 as a Dev'

October 30, 2024: IBA-SMCS and the Data Science Society, in collaboration with Drox Labs, hosted an engaging seminar and workshop titled 'Breaking into Web3 as a Dev' at the IBA Main Campus.

The event featured leading experts including Mr. Danial Ansari, Founder Drox Labs, and Mr. Muhammad Kumail, Co-founder Drox Labs, who guided students through the evolution of tech startups, the transformative impact of Web3, and the essential skills needed to transition into Web3 development.

The seminar opened with a presentation by Mr. Ansari, introducing Drox Labs mission and showcasing some of the ongoing projects. He then delved into the Web3 market, highlighting its potential and the opportunities it presents for future developers. Following this discussion, Mr. M. Waleed, Co-founder & Full Stack Engineer, Drox Labs, provided an insightful comparison between Web2 and Web3.

The seminar culminated in a highly anticipated workshop led by Mr. Abdul Qadir, Senior Full Stack Engineer, Drox Labs. He introduced participants to blockchain technology, discussing the basics of decentralized ledgers and distributed networks, followed by an overview of Ethereum. Attendees then participated in a hands-on lab session on Solidity coding, gaining practical experience in Web3 development.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from IBA and other HEI Karachi students, who left with invaluable insights and hands-on skills from industry experts.
