SMCS hosts academics from University of Lisbon fostering academic exchange

August 26, 2024:  School of Mathematics & Computer Science (SMCS), IBA Karachi had the privilege of hosting Dr. Rui Marinheiro, Director, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering Department, ISCTE, University Institute of Lisbon; and Dr. Olinda Coelho Monteiro from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon.

The visit commenced with a welcome lunch, where Dr. Marinheiro and Dr. Monteiro engaged in meaningful conversations with the SMCS faculty. These discussions explored potential collaborations between IBA Karachi and the visiting scholars' institutions, focusing on research opportunities, student and faculty exchanges, and curriculum enhancement.

Dr. Marinheiro also conducted an engaging session on the Internet of Things with the BS(CS) students, sparking vibrant discussions and innovative ideas. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both professors for sharing their knowledge and making this visit successful!
